Tall Ships at Anchorage Cruise

Book Your Cruise Today

While the rest of Boston awaits their arrival, you’ll get a tall ships preview, courtesy of Boston Harbor Cruises.

Rigging sunset.jpg

As the sun goes down, the ships light up.

Journey with us the evening before the Grand Parade of Sail, to see the tall ships lying at anchor as the sun sets in the western sky. It’s a sight you won’t soon forget, complete with expert narration as we glide past each ship at her station. Discover the designs that powered the Age of Sail as staff from the USS Constitution Museum explore the history of these magnificent vessels.  There’s nothing more breathtaking, except maybe the tall ships under full sail in a stiff breeze. But we’ll save that for the next day.

Tall Ships at Night, Diner's Delight

While you're oohing and aahing over the Tall Ships you'll also be raving over your dinner from acclaimed chef Barbara Lynch.  From delectable appetizers and raw bar to the chef's signature baked stuffed lobster, plus dessert to top it off, your evening will be a delight for the senses.  For the complete menu, click here.

Tall Ships at Anchorage Cruise FAQs

Do you recommend advance reservations?

We strongly recommend that you reserve your trip.  Trip will sell out.

Can I make a ticket reservation online?

Yes. Click here to reserve your tickets online.

Do you offer discounts for large groups?

We do have discounted group rates for parties of 25 or more. Please fill out our Group Tours inquiry form for more information.

What ships will I see?

We will get a great view of the ships at anchorage where they await the next day's parade.  We cannot guarantee that all ships will be in place at anchorage and it is likely that the ships' sails will not be up.

Should I bring anything on board?

We suggest a light jacket and, of course, your camera!  In addition, since the cruise brings you outside of the Harbor, beyond the Boston Harbor Islands, if you are especially prone to sea sickness you may want to take Dramamine or other motion sickness medication prior to boarding.

Are beverages available on board?

To complement your buffet dinner, our galleys offer a cash bar with a selection of fruit juices, sodas and other beverages along with beer, wine and cocktails. Please Note: at sea, credit/debit card transactions are sometimes not possible, so it’s a good idea to have cash on hand.

Are gift cards available for this special cruise?

Gift cards are available for all BHC cruises, but due to the special nature, magnitude and expected attendance of this event, this cruise - and our other Tall Ships cruises -  will sell out well ahead of time.  Therefore, we strongly suggest that if giving a Tall Ships cruise as a gift, you purchase tickets rather than an unreserved gift card to avoid having the recipient shut out from a sold out cruise.
